Sep up in 1967, The Under 40s Fruit Growers has developed over the years as a networking group for young people in the fruit growing industry. As a supplier to many wholesale fruit growers Frank P Matthews are proud to sponsor this innovative collective. During the conference delegates have the opportunity to see the latest technical developments, experience growing in different countries and forge new contacts. The trips involve visits to fruit growers, networking time, technical presentations and discussions to make for a fruitful conference.

Fruit is a key export market for Chile and is responsible for around 28% of total Chilean trade. Contributing 11% of Total GDP, only sitting behind Chile’s largest export market: Copper. It accounts for nearly 60% of all South American Fruit Exports and is impressively increasing year on year.

The trip was a fantastic opportunity to see how another country grows and exports fruit, sharing in their challenges and successes. It was also a great way to meet young people in the industry, share experiences and gain useful contacts. The Under 40s Fruit Growers Conference is a means where knowledge and interests can be shared and long-term friendships and connections made.
