09/06/2016

We are exhibiting some of our new varieties at the HTA National Plant Show 2016. The Horticultural Trade Association is holding its 7th National Plant Show at Stoneleigh Showground this June.

The show attracts plant buyers and horticulturalists from all over the country, representing hundreds of garden centres, nurseries, mail order companies, public gardens and private enthusiasts.

Each year we exhibit over 100 trees, including a wide range of fruit and ornamentals as well as special new varieties.

Our exciting introductions this year which we will be entering into the New Plant Awards are:

Betula pendula ‘Fastigiata Joes’ ®

A wonderful tree which is bred to combine pendulous branches in an upright form. A very narrow and neat pyramidal habit with small attractive leaves and catkins. Bark will turn a good white after 4-5 years. A breakthrough in tree selection and ideal for small spaces and avenues.

Acer platanoides ‘Ulmers Sensation’

An excellent dwarf form of Acer platanoides ‘Drummondii’ which is on average 20% less vigorous. The leaves of SENSATION are brighter with a more distinctive leaf variegation and it has no reversion tendency.

Plum Toptaste ® Kulinaria

Self-fertile, easy to grow and will produce crops of large, blue, tasty plums. Very disease resistant (resistant to plum pox virus) and suitable for organic growing.

If you are at the show, please do come and say hello….
