Full Description
Description: Toona sinensis is a medium sized fast growing tree with handsome, large, pinnate leaves, often bronze when young, and lovely yellow tints in autumn. Brownish-grey bark flakes off when the tree is older. Small fragrant white flowers in drooping panicles in summer.
History: Native to North and western China, and introduced in 1862.
