Full Description
Description: White Marsailles is a large, deciduous shrub with bold, deeply-lobed leaves. Heavy crops of large, round, pale green fruit with translucent white flesh. Rich and sweet in taste. Usually one crop per year. Has a good reputation for pot culture.
Fig Growing Tips: Happy when planted in the ground or in pots, prefer a sunny location, indoors or outdoors. Hard pruning is recommended to encourage young replacement shoots on old 'woody' plants. Figs ooze a white sap when pruned in the spring or summer. This is not harmful but can cause irriration to the skin. Pinching out of strong growing tips in mid summer encourages the development and ripening of the current crop.
